How the server CPU ladder is ranked

Every CPU on this ladder has at least one published SPEC CPU 2017 result, and every score links back to it. CPUs within 3% of a tier's best score share a rank.

Score
The best published SPECrate®2017_int_base result for the CPU, divided by the number of chips in the tested system. The per-socket value is derived by HardwareLadder and is not an official SPEC metric.
Coverage
Data-center server CPUs: Xeon E5/E7, Xeon Scalable, Xeon 6 and 6+, EPYC 7001–9005 and 8004/8005, plus Arm server CPUs from Ampere, Huawei, and ZTE.
Not listed
Entry parts built from desktop silicon (Xeon E, Xeon 6300, EPYC 4004/4005), edge SoCs (Xeon D, Xeon 6 SoC), workstation CPUs, and chips with no published result, such as NVIDIA Grace and AWS Graviton.
Specifications
Boost clock, TDP, and launch date come from Wikipedia processor tables. Core count, base clock, and L3 cache fall back to the SPEC result disclosure.
